Role: Compliance Coordinator
Reporting to: Head of UK Regulatory Compliance
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday) - Office Based Only
We are looking to recruit a Compliance Coordinator to join our UK Regulatory Compliance team. This role will support the delivery of compliance assurance activities across the business and help ensure we continue to meet our regulatory obligations.
About the role
The Compliance Coordinator will support key compliance activities including policy reviews, exception tracking and reporting, training, corrective actions, and maintenance of compliance monitoring plans and risk models.
The role will also support the franchise network with regulatory guidance where they operate as an Appointed Representative.
The role involves working with different departments across the business and providing management information and updates on compliance activity and regulatory developments. The role will require travel throughout the UK, driving license essential.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with implementing and reviewing compliance policies, procedures, and processes
- Maintain Financial Services and Data Protection policies and procedures
- Support compliance activities required to maintain UK Consumer Credit authorisation
- Produce management information and reports on compliance monitoring and remediation actions
- Assist with the delivery of compliance training for employees and managers
- Monitor the effectiveness of the compliance assurance programme and suggest improvements
- Support compliance projects and ensure key tasks are delivered on time
- Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies
- Work with departments such as Legal, Credit, Portfolio Management and Customer Service to investigate and resolve compliance issues
Skills and experience
- Minimum 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) or 2 to 4 years experience in a financial services environment
- Compliance, assurance, or audit experience would be beneficial
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Ability to work independently
- Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
