We are currently looking to recruit a Warehouse Team Leader to be responsible for running a Night Shift team (10.00 pm - 6.30 am Sunday to Friday).

The Warehouse Team Leader will lead a designated team, and in conjunction with the Shift Operations Management Team, ensure that the operation is managed effectively and efficiently in order to sustain customer satisfaction whilst adhering to strict business KPI’s, Metrics, SLA’s in a professional manor.

Day to day responsibilities will include:

• Provide leadership by establishing clear expectations and high standards of work practices throughout the team whilst ensuring a ‘great place to work’ philosophy.

• Motivation of staff including daily team briefs and monthly ‘one on one’ individual performance reviews, reporting back to management operations team.

• Plan and coordinate the allocation of labour within the shift to meet operational deadlines. Responsible for control of overtime, non-productive hours, holiday and absence.

• Ensure effective communication between departments and other team leaders / senior management, across the site.

• Continuously monitor the performance and activities of the team through the use of KPIs, with a primary focus on cost controls, productivity and quality.

• Train and monitor staff in standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safe work practices.

• Report printing and evaluation of daily department productivity.

• Maintain the highest possible standard of hygiene and housekeeping in accordance with company standards including 6S.

• Responsible for the security of inventory at the distribution centre.

• Responsible for communication of any incident out of hours to Emergency Services, Security and or Senior Management.

• Responsible for out of hours site wide security.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous Supervisory or Team Management experience in a distribution environment

• Possesses excellent interpersonal skills, calm approach

• Is an excellent communicator, both written and oral

• Is competent in IT (Email, Word, Excel)

• Has the ability to prioritise work, cope with competing deadlines and use initiative in a variety of situations

• Has an organised and methodical approach to administrative duties.

• Is accurate and pays attention to detail
