National Sales Manager

Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of sales strategies, and the ability to foster relationships with clients. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying market opportunities and developing effective sales plans to achieve organisational goals. This key position in the Snap-on Diagnostic organization is responsible for managing the Sales arm of the company in the UK. The headquarters of the Diagnostic Division in the UK Is located in King’s Lynn.
Key Tasks / Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve company objectives
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to enhance performance and achieve targets
- Analyse market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth
- Establish and maintain strong relationships within the automotive industry
- Manage the Sales organization in the UK and Ireland Channels including Handheld and Software sales, Direct equipment sales and Distribution sales
- Plan and achieve targeted sales performance through the Sales channels
- Overall responsibility for the financial results of the Sales divisions including budgets and cost controls
- Have a sound understanding of all P&L’s
- Oversee the development of the Diagnostic business unit and long range plan appertaining to Sales
- Assure that all activities of the Divisions are in compliance with internal and external controls, regulations, policies and laws including Health & Safety
- Work closely with Marketing to maintain and enhance the brand image
Requirements
- Proven experience in a sales management role or similar position
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building relationships
- Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions based on market insights
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making
- A background in the automotive industry is advantageous but not essential.
