We have an exiting opportunity to join our Snap-on Industrial division as an Item Master Coordinator.
We are looking for someone who can work closely with Sales and Supply Chain Team to utilise their Tool knowledge and experience to ensure that the product range supports the company’s overall strategy and goals.
Being first point of contact for customer / sales product requirements, the main focus in day-to-day tasks will be gathering, prioritising and sourcing suitable products. In addition, other responsibilities will be researching and negotiating with suppliers to purchase said product to fulfil requirements, setting-up the new item with accuracy and completeness in the Snap-on ERP system.
The role is 85% Item Master/Pricing Maintenance (setting up product, superseding, discontinuing, price updates) versus – 15% Product Sourcing.
Other duties will include:
• Responding to field sales requests by researching and quoting for products outside of our current offering. Upon receipt of a customer PO, continue to setup the item to ensure smooth onward transactions (Sales order, Purchase order)
• Negotiating with local purchase (non-Snap-on) suppliers to agree prices and quantities showing commercial awareness at all times
• Item Master Maintenance (UK & EU)
• Pricing Maintenance (UK & EU)
• Onboarding new suppliers – gathering the correct information and completing internal forms
• Work with our sister division (SOT group) to ensure best practice
• Assisting with the continued inventory maintenance, where required.
Person specification:
• Experience in the Tools Industry (Advantageous).
• Extracting data from ERP systems (Advantageous).
• Excellent communication skills to help negotiations and ensure that expectations are clear.
• Relationship building and networking skills.
• Financial and accounting knowledge for calculating margins, gross profit and discounts.
• Excellent computer skills and knowledge of spreadsheets, presentation software and other stock management software and systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and high standards for quality control.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
