We are Recruiting for a Sales Developer for FPT05
The main duties of the Sales Developer are listed below, but it is the nature of the job that each activity will have its own range of demands which they will be expected to meet.
Franchisee Sales
• Identifying development needs, coaching as required, and following up on agreed actions
• Advising franchisees on the best ways to implement sales strategies and meeting or exceeding sales goals
• Effectively managing business cash flow and helping maintain effective inventory levels
• Developing and maintaining a strong Revolving Account programme
• Marketing products and explaining to franchisees how to market their trucks correctly to engage customer interaction
• Educating franchisees on the benefits and features of Snap-on products
• Teaching franchisees sales and collections skills
• Driving customer-focussed culture by coaching franchisees on how to uncover customer needs and connecting with customers
• Setting standards for Future Dated Orders
• Running monthly sales meetings to ensure franchisees understand and participate in all the programmes presented that are designed to grow and develop their sales
• Driving diagnostic sales both at the sales meeting and off the truck
Franchisee Development and Compliance
• Partnering with Business Managers to conduct franchisee business reviews
• Arranging van rides with franchisees and ensuring 4 business contacts per calendar year for each of the franchisees in the FPT group
• Monitoring franchisees for consistency in their manner of conducting business; escalating compliance issues to the Compliance Manager
• Assisting in reducing franchisees’ turnover by proactively identifying underperforming franchisees and bringing them to the team’s attention
• Carrying out inventories with franchisees
FPT Team Building
• Communicating regularly with other FPT members
• Coordinating franchisee and customer issue resolution with team members
• Encouraging and participating in all incentive schemes
• Developing a competitive attitude to building team spirit
• Controlling SD stocks
• Signing off and controlling franchisee NTRs in line with company expectations
FPT Recruitment
• Prospecting at every opportunity and engaging with the Recruitment team
PERSON SPECIFICATION
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Significant sales experience (minimum of 2 years ideally)
• Snap-on experience (minimum of 1 year preferred)
• Knowledge of all categories of Snap-on products including features and benefits
• Business and financial acumen
• Ability to balance empathy for franchisees and customers with business objectives
• Applied knowledge of the psychology of selling
• Knowledge of franchisee contracts
• Proficient at Microsoft Office
• Willingness to travel extensively
• Willing to go the ‘extra mile’, working extra hours and weekends as needed to fulfil the expectations of the role
• Strong core values and work ethic
• Enjoy interacting with others
• Ability to drive business results by engaging, coaching and motivating customers
• Strong relationship building and influencing skills
• Good organisational skills
